“Soch, Beyond the Imagination” and “Helping Hands Society”, with the help of Blood Bank, JN Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, organized a blood donation camp in the premises of Maulana Azad Library, AMU on the occasion of World Aids Day.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Dharmveer Yadav, Senior Superintendent of Police, Aligarh inaugurated the camp and appreciated the efforts of the organizers. He said that he was impressed by their sense of service to fellow human beings.
On the occasion, Mr. Suhail A. Siddiqui, Warden, Aftab Hall said that blood donation is one of the noblest causes. Mr. Yunus Khan, Mr. Abid Hasan and Mr. Tauseef Siddiqui of University Polytechnic requested the students to organize such camps in future. A team of Blood Bank comprising Dr. Suhail, Dr. Smriti, Dr. Tausia and Amir extended their cooperation in organizing the camp.
Samia Siddiqui from Helping Hands Society, which is an organization of female students of AMU, said that participation of girls in future camps would not only increase but hopefully surpass the number of male students.
Dr. Danish Suhail from “Soch”, said that his organization has organized several events in past.
Former Vice President of AMUSU, Tauseef Alam and Jaseem Mohammad Khan donated blood and encouraged the youth for the same.
Dr. Saleem Mohammad Khan, Senior Resident Dr Manzoor Ahmad, Saleem Quarishi, and Areeba Siddiqui, Seher, Saman, Diksha, Ayesha, Anam, Nazoora, Tabish, Amood, Shaaz, Wakkas, Faraz Islam, Rameez, Faraz Murtaza, Qasim, Areeb, Muntazar, Shoaib, Himanshu, Shariq, Anas, Shavez, Moin, Shareef, Faiz, Zubair, Junaid and other students were also present on the occasion.
